FAQ

  • Anthroproach is mentally and physically stimulating fitness for a long life of mobility, created by Zac King. I use Movement Fitness coaching, programs, and online content to help regular people move and feel better. Together, we explore the mental and physical qualities of restricted mobility and develop a Movement Fitness Practice that elevates your outlook on training and life.

  • A Movement Fitness Practice is one of the most effective and overlooked quality-of-life accelerators available to us as humans. The human body evolved for complex movement, but modern life removes the complexity. A Movement Fitness Practice uses targeted cues and intuitive movement to restore balance, achieve training goals and improve your state of mind.

  • Movement Fitness is for everyone, but it’s important to choose a coach that’s right for you. I don’t typically work with competitive athletes. Most of my clients are regular people with fitness goals like running again, feeling younger, trusting your joints, improving posture, increasing cardiorespiratory capacity, and maybe building some muscle and losing some weight as well.

Anthroproach also works well for people who just want something different. This is not your average personal training. It isn’t going to leave you thrashed or discouraged, and it isn’t boring. I believe coaching is not a monologue, but a dialogue. I will never bark commands at you. Expect a collaborative process of discovering ways to move better and more often. A client summarized it best:

“When I am done training with Zac, I just feel really really good.”

If you want to move and feel better than you did yesterday, Anthroproach is for you.

  • The first step in working together is identifying your friction points. What movements don’t feel so good? What throws you off balance? Which joints are limiting your physical capabilities in life and sport?

Next, you’ll learn a diversity of mobility skills to expand your physical capability and tune your body for movement longevity. Once friction starts to diminish, we’ll begin building atop your knew baseline with functional exercises geared toward your specific goals.

    I call this process Explore-2-Restore-2-Perform:

    1) Explore. Experiment with movement tests to find friction points and limitations.

    2) Restore. Alleviate friction via quality movement habituation and increased movement complexity.

    3) Perform. Seamlessly build a functional fitness routine to harden new habits, directed by your specific training goals.
